Deca- means ten; -hedron means base. Decahedrons have ten bases (or faces).

1. Draw four circles.
2. Draw four more circles as shown.
3. Draw line segments connecting most of the intersections. (Look carefully at the diagram! There are two intersections at the far right and left that you will not use.) You will draw ten triangles. Mark six tabs with a T, as shown. Carefully cut out around the white area--the ten triangles and six tabs.

To make the largest possible decahedron out of one sheet of paper, place it as shown so that your triangles and tabs still fit on the paper but unneeded portions of the circles get cut off.

Now fold, crease, decorate, and glue your decahedron, following the same hints given on the tetrahedron page.
