(9) Marbles Chris has 40 marbles. He hits away 20. Then he loses 10. Next, he drops 5 into the drain. Finally he loses 3. How many marbles does he have left? 

(10) Fire! Fire! There are 22 people stuck in a burning building. One firefighter rescues 7 people, and another firefighter rescues 12 people. How many people were rescued?
